Limerick interest in Jigs and reels

Monday, March 27th, 2006

With nothing better to do on a wet and miserable Sunday night i was flicking through the channels and fell upon “celebrity” jigs and reels yesterday evening… I use the term celebrity lightly as the only people i recognised were Dana, MIchael Carruth the boxer who has put on about 6 stone in weight! and Emma O’Driscoll from Limerick. Emma as some may recall was one of the members of the pop group 6 who had a shelf life of about … 6 minutes but fair play to her, she has done some work on live95fm and i think she is also doing some kids thing on rte as well. Best of luck to her anyway!

On questioning Willie about the reports that he was the only government minister left in the country on our national day, O’Dea replied: “Austin, take it from me, the whole country is being run from W.J. South’s public house as we speak.”

While locking up on Thursday the 16th, Mrs Curran fell victim to the high tech security system at the school which was designed to protect staff from any violent incidents involving the high risk students.
