Survey shows Limerick safer than Dublin

We are all familiar with the number crunching that goes on when ever the Gardai release statistics for headline crimes.

But here is a more interesting survey, one that shows that Dublin is indeed more dangerous than Limerick.

The 2006 Garda Public Attitudes Survey reveals that while only 11 percent of those surveyed in Limerick City were victims of crime, 18 percent reported being victims of crime in Dublin South and South Central.

The survey did reveal however that 44 percent of people in Limerick did not feel safe walking the streets at night.
