Illegal workers removed from Dell

A number of foreign workers at Dell were lifted by Gardai on Tuesday after a tip off from the Department of Social Community and Family affairs stating that they had obtained their work permits using false documentation.

While a spokesperson for Dell claimed this week that there were as little as five people taken away for questioning, the Limerick Leader reports that there is speculation that the number could be as high as forty.

The foreign nationals were taken by Gardai and questioned individually about their papers, however no arrests were made.

i worked briefly in a local Chinese take-out in Claremorris. All the chefs and waitress (except one I knew working weekends) were all working here without proper documentation.

What's the big deal? The Garda won't bother themselves at all. Just walk into any Chinese here in the West, Galway, Limerick, Castlebar, Claremorris...... you can easily find at least a couple illegal workers but they seem to be enjoying their work here without any troubles.

Or, if you like, walk into any pubs at 3 am in any Saturday morning, you will see people still drinking. The Garda are completely USELESS. The laws are here but nobody is enforcing them. Hell.
