It is actually a take on the stupidity of people fighting because they come from a certain town. both towns are on the border of Limerick and Tipperary hense the "border conflict" reference.

Two knackers brawling, why compare Limerick and Tipperary to two ficticous towns in the Simpsons? And then try to make this into a gender issue?Even the heading of your blog states ''Border Conflict'',is this the north in 70's-90's pre peace process? Its a very simpleton explanation..Do you work for some UK/OIRISH Red top rag, ahem news worthy paper?Keep up the blogs hilarious..

Interesting that the once fair sex seem to be up for more and more violence these days. It appears the sickening murders in Drimnagh of the two Polish workers was instigated by a number of young teenage, ahem, ladies (13yrs.) seeking someone to buy them alcohol.

Now our smallest hamlets decide they want some notice in the press. Jesus, I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day.
