While I agree that this form of behaviour on public roads is both dangerous and stupid, are these the kind of people that are dying on our roads? It seems to me that the young people that are involved in road fatalaties in Ireland are not driving drift cars. The majority are driving unmodified vehicles. They are normal people out with their friends, drunk and whatever else and on their way home or to a party at 3am.

If there is a notion that if the boy racer community was to suddenly disappear then road deaths would drop dramatically, it is wrong. I'm not defending these people's actions, I just think it's an easy source of blame for the 'I'm-so-socially-responsible' middle-classes.

The people in the video clearly have an interest in cars. In Ireland, there is a lack of facilities for these people (though drift days on race tracks are becoming more common). I live in the US where there are a host of events to cater for car enthusiasts. Perhaps if there were similar places and events, maybe they wouldn't need to do these things on public roads.

Lastly, it's very difficult to kill oneself doing 30mph in 2nd gear...I'd be more worried about those filming it. Now there's stupidity!

To begin with, Bebo should not permit Scumbags uploading these videos boasting about their driving ( or at least showing off how thick and stupid the bastards are) I think this may encourage other twits to copy and post their videos on bebo too and probably cause some poor fuc#er to be injured or killed. If any one knows who the fuc#ers are they should tell the Gardai or 'phone 1800250025 this number is a free phone number to Gardai investigating crime and it's completely confidential. Well they they are enjoying themselves ,not murdering,thieving etc like others, off peak is it.

I suppose if the little shits crashed, overturned or were killed (although with their luck it's the poor bollix coming across them that gets it) their parents would be first to give out about lack of facilities, rather than ask what are they up to on the public highway at that hour acting the maggot driving around like that.

Pity they didn't burst into flames, would have made the amateur camera ops. night too.

Idiots! But im sure they'll be the pride of the town when they're killed! There should be stronger punishment for this behaviour on public roads but likewise we should have area's where these lunatics can go to do this i.e Racetracks.
