I paid €6 to get a jacket dry-cleaned last month and that was in Dublin. Anyway I appreciate the cost of doing this for 35 people, and I also take my hat off to anyone involved in these bands, they do a a great and undervalued job., and I think the band are a huge source of pride for the community. We brought the boys to Barcelona last year and plan another foreign trip next year. Every euro saved can and is used to part finance this for those who struggle to pay. Its far harder to get the lads into a Kilt than into a jacket! And the kilt is an Irish tradition anyway, unlike the Jackets. The Jackets are not very practical for a boys band. Loads of upkeep, boys are not the cleanest and the Jackets have to be dry cleaned. Compare this to a hoodie. No contest.
