Two arrested near Corbally after firearm seized

Gardai in co-operation with the Emergency Response Unit arrested two men in the Athlunkard Road area of Limerick after a brief pursuit early this morning.

According to reports, the guards noticed a stolen car in the area and eventually stopped it. A loaded glock pistol was found in the car and two men, aged 20 and 23 were arrested.

They are being held at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State act.

    [Mod Edit] Normal practice would be to wait before a person is brought before a judge before publishing their name. It is pretty much the practice I would stick to. better safe than sorry to be honest. [squid]

    i find your co0mment negative, if two guys are driving around, alledgedly with a loaded gun , they werent up to any good, so a life was possibly saved .

    its who they got for the gun is the big thing. Lets hope he gets ten
    because he deserves it for getting away with murder.
