Brian Cowen comes to Limerick

Brian Cowen visited the City Centre today, where he spent spent some time kissing hands and shaking babies before heading off to the plush surroundings of the Clarion hotel to argue the case for the treaty of Lisbon to the members of Limerick Chamber of Commerce.

But the news is not all good for the Taoiseach. The latest opinion poll due to be published in the Irish Times tomorrow shows that the No camp are ahead by five percent. (A bit silly releasing the results before the paper goes on sale, now I don’t have to buy it as I already know what the result will be, but I digress.)

Anyway, anyone wishing to get a glimpse of the Taoiseach—you have your chance in Newcastle West on Saturday.

  • I see this article was toned down quite a bit since I last read it (and its comment) . . . :)
