Shots fired during Foynes service station robbery
Up to two shots were fired during the robbery of a service station in Foynes last night.
At 2245 hrs, a man approached a car outside the service station and forced a woman at knifepoint into the store. He was joined by two other men, one armed with what is reported to be a single-barrel shotgun.
After the tills were emptied, the three men made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The men are described as being 1.7 metres tall and wearing dark clothing. All their faces were concealed
