Where will that leave the thousands who travel/have travelled that route and would like to continue Aer Lingus gave it up in place of Belfast which has not been lucrative at all. At least O'Leary and Ryanair seem to be trying to promote Shannon (unlike some other carriers) and are at least trying to introduce some new routes there (and reintroduce old ones like Frankfurt-Hahn). @Hoof, They (Ryanair) did announce the new Shannon-Turin route, circa start of September. It may have been overlooked by the mdia due the fact that at the same time, they introduced some new ski routes from Dublin and Kerry. They (Ryanair) did announce the new Shannon-Turin route, circa start of September. It may have been overlooked by the mdia due the fact that at the same time, they introduced some new ski routes from Dublin and Kerry. See link:

This is the way they announced it yesterday. I don't recall them operating a Frankfurt-Hahn service since summer.
