[Video]O’Dea faces anger on Questions and Answers

Poor oul Willie was getting it from both barrells tonight on Questions and Answers, both on the withdrawal of universal medical cards and on plans to increase class sizes.

Be advised, you will need RealPlayer to see these clips.

O’Dea was first called upon to defend the changes to medical cards for over 70s

And here is the question on class sizes,

Poor poor Willie. He can't blame Fine Gael for this! No. Look people, WOD is a lap dog of Fianna Fail, remember aer lingus leaving shannon! Oh Willie was so sorry, so sorry bless him! But feck all changed. An apologist, I'm sorry, Im sorry says Willie, aahh bless. Willies one of us! The problem with poloitics in this country is there are used condoms floating down the Shannon river with more moral fibre than most FF politicians but limerick people think NO they are fianna Fail we Must vote for them! Wake up Limerick.

Hoof....laughing...the organ grinder and his monkey Peter. Brilliant! If you run for election ...you have my vote! Bet you Willie will be at his clinic this Saturday...but then he may still be hiding in Shannon...if he can find it!!

He looked like a beaten hound all right and seemed visibly shocked at the anger expressed. Must be using Bertie's eye-liner too, the innocent altar-boy impression reminiscent of the former Dear Leaders poster.

His attempted interruptions of other speakers with his "but-but-but-but" and stuttering was cringe-worthy. Didn't like it either when one pensioner warned him he mightn't be elected next time out. Unlikely we know, as Willie has his sheep well numbered. God knows what his reaction would have been had the man suggested the more realistic prospect that the great organ grinder won't be able to deliver a second seat with requisite monkey come the next General Election.

Deserved everything he got and more.

They are really feeling the pressure. I have never seen Willie so defensive he was on the back foot for the whole programme. The rottweiler was more like a whipped cur.

I also saw other ministers at an event recently shifting uncomfortably in their seats when the most innocuous gags about declining economies were made.

Their handling of the economic downturn has been inept to say the least.
