    They should be encouraged by all means to relieve the tree of its baubles, Andy, especially if the river is a bit choppy.

    They can consider it a 'challenge'.

    Maybe if we just start off a rumour that there's a bag of Dundons White Powder on the tree they might take a much needed wash.

    Well at least we can sure with the tree in the middle of the Shannon the local scum won't be able to vandalise it unless they want to drown in the process....... on second thoughts that is not such a bad idea at all
  • A ordinary big christmas tree would have been a lot nicer, it looks ghastly to my eye.
