With this line up they bring a whole new dimension to the songs made famous by Alabama 3. This isn’t acid house music, this is country/gospel/delta blues, but played with a rhythm you’ve still got to dance to. The ghost of Mississippi Fred McDowell haunting the fingers of Rock Freebase on guitar, Larry Love’s larynx looser than Howlin’ Wolf. Devlin Love’s vocals as sweet as Sister Rosetta and Harpo Strangelove’s harmonica cooking up a Sonny Terry vibe – welcome to the Delta Blues alive and kicking in 2008.

The Japanese Popstars
The Rubber Bandits

They did their first ever live show at Trinity Rooms in 2005 but now the whole world loves them, back from Australia, Europe and Japan where they are real popstars and with an album that everyone is talking about, The Japanese Popstars make a return to the main room at Trinity Rooms on Sunday December 28th for the clubs regulars Christmas Party. Admission is just €10 or Free if your a member .
They have been nominated and won various awards in the dance music for both their energetic Live Show and DJ sets including: Best Live Act @2008 Irish Dance Music Awards, Best Breakthrough Producer @ Best Of British DJ Mag Awards 2008 and Best Album @ Best Of British DJ Mag Awards 2008
As if this wasn’t enough it’s just been announced that Limerick’s favourite twosome the Rubber Bandits will be hosting Trinity 2 on the same night. Following on from their by now legendary debut live performance in the Clubhouse last Summer, the musical geniuses behind “Bag of Glue” and “Pure Awkward” will host “A very Rubber Bandit Christmas” from 11pm and the great news is that admission to this show is entirely free if your at the Japanese Popstars or staying on from the Alabama 3 show earlier that night !

So thats an amazing double (triple if your early) bill of the Rubber Bandits, The Japanese Popstars and Alabama 3 at Trinity Rooms on Sunday 28th December !

After the huge sell out that was last years NYE007 Party with 1000 people partying into the New Year under the vaults and around the waterfall at Trinity Rooms, for 2008, the Hospitality Nightclub of the Year, in keeping with mood of the times presents “Salvation”.

A huge themed event limited to 1000 guest across 3 rooms and 2 huge courtyards with amazing live music, world class dj’s, table service areas, stunning decor and lighting and the biggest party atmosphere this side of Times Square!
