I went to college with Michael and the papers have it soooo wrong, he will be terribly missed in Galway and off course by his own family in his native Tipperary!!!!Seems to be he was in the wrong place at the wrong time!!!!

Why where they in their underwear? Where were the guns they had? If there was a shootout where is the evidence of such an event? Where they killed in their sleep?
One has to remember that the CIA is all the time trying to undermine these governments in South America to make way for the US corporations so they can steal the raw materials as they have don in the past. They, the economic hitmen of the CIA, are there to pave the way for the world bank, so that they can turn these counties into good little serfs. Columbia is a perfect example.

Much more to be learned about this case, but they will have already sent in the cleaners to cover their marks.

You're very quick to judge. Sounds like the guy is (was) completely innocent to me – his profile certainly doesn't fit someone about to organise a coup.
I remember a bomb on a bus in London in the nineties and how an innocent Irishman was injured. The British press immediately thought him guilty and I told some English people that they jumping to conclusions was a cause of Irish grievance (Birmingham Six etc.)
Looks like we aren't much better ourselves.
