Peter clings to power in junior minister shake-up
Peter Power has retained his position of junior minister at the Department of Foreign Affairs, following the shake up of the Junior Ministers by Taoiseach, Brian Cowen.
The news that he was being kept on, and would remain responsible for Irish Aid, was given during a five minute meeting with Cowen.
North Tipperary’s Maire Hoctor was not so lucky. She was one of seven Junior Ministers booted out of office along with Noel Ahern, John McGuinness, Micheal Kitt, Sean Power, Mary Wallace and Jimmy Devins.
