The Kilmurry Church Arts and Heritage Centre will play host to a production of “Songs for a New World” performed by Histrionic Productions
The show runs for three nights at 2000 hrs from 23rd to 25th of July.
“It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back.” So says composer Jason Robert Brown of the stunning musical Songs for a New World. When Brown first produced this groundbreaking work he had the whole theatre community talking about his unique blend of savvy showmanship and exciting contemporary sound. The audience meets a startling array of characters ranging from a young man who is determined to escape from poverty to a woman whose desire to marry rich leads her away from the man of her dreams and into a soulless marriage. These are the stories and characters of today, the songs for a new world. Histrionic Productions is producing its first musical, Songs for a New World for 3 nights only from Thursday the 23rd July.
Tickets are €15 (€10 with concession) and can be obtained from 085-7623355
