Mary worshippers barking up the wrong tree

Proof that the shape revealed after the cutting down of a tree in Rathkeale could be interpreted as anything.

The local Parish Priest has told those not to worship a tree, however there are reports that up to 2,000 signitures have been collected in a petition to stop workers from completely removing the tree.

Me suspects Novena withdrawal, but then that is just me!

    After heavy rainfall over the weekend, the image has changed spectacuarly and now the trunk resembles a man with a furrowed brow and a small hairy animal attached under where his nose would be. He is also pointing a gun and close observers claim to make out what looks like a ministerial pension in the shape of an oak leaf being brandished.

    Look, people still voted in fianna fail in at the last election so the fact there are people willing to worship a feckin tree stump should not surprise anybody.

    How could any poor sap believe this. Somebody needs to branch out to this community to get to the root of this and nip this in the bud asap. These people want so much to believe that they pine for such an event, and are so blinded by faith that they can't see the forest for the trees. It's a con and nobody's twigged it yet, it makes me sick and as it escalates it makes me sick a more. It's time people to turn over a new leaf and realize that if your looking for answers here you are barking up the wrong tree.

  • The dumbness of it hurts my head - I fear for the human race when I hear about things like this. I think some church leader has come out and said he doesn't want to encourage superstition - the irony! You couldn't make it up!
